The T4 to T3 conversion point is something more people need to hear about. I had a friend who was on levothyroxine for years, still feeling awful, and her doc kept increasing the dose without ever checking conversion pathways. Turned out her selenium and zinc levels were tanked, which the liver needs for that conversion. The parasite angle is interessting too, though I'd be curious to see more data on prevelance rates in people without travel history. My bigger concern is the toxic load issue you mentioned - glyphosate exposure is basically unavoidable at this point unless someone's eating 100% organic, and most people can't afford that.
